Culture, Corruption, CITIZENSHIP, Contentment, and Complacency in Sierra Leone
About the book
THE 5C THEORY examines five connected forces—Culture, Corruption, Citizenship, Contentment and Complacency—and asks how their interaction shapes public life in Sierra Leone. Rather than treating corruption or institutional weakness as isolated problems, the book follows the relationships between everyday expectations, civic responsibility, political behaviour and the systems people learn to tolerate.
Written for readers who want to move from private frustration to public inquiry, it offers a framework for naming recurring patterns, questioning accepted explanations and considering where change can begin. The aim is not to simplify Sierra Leone’s experience, but to make its connections easier to see, discuss and interrupt.
