Externally published RSS
Leone Connect indexes public feed metadata and plays the publisher-provided audio. Inclusion does not verify the publisher, rights, accuracy or editorial standard.
Governed publishing records
Identity, book relationships, sources, rights, transcripts, corrections, community and commercial access pass through Leone Connect controls.
READER AND LISTENER GUIDE
Build and use your daily listening library.
Import a public podcast
- Sign inOpen My Audio and choose Sign in. Cross-device features require one Leone Connect account.
- Copy the RSS addressUse the publisher’s public HTTPS RSS feed—not an ordinary episode page or a private paid-feed address.
- Validate and addPaste the address under Add an Open Podcast. Leone Connect checks the host, XML size, format and audio entries.
- Review the badgeThe imported show must display Open Podcast · External publisher. Report a misleading or unsafe record to Leone Connect.
Follow, listen and synchronize
- Follow deliberatelyFollow adds a show to the dedicated My Audio workspace and its new releases to your private update feed. It does not enable email automatically.
- Follow an author from an episodeOn an approved Leone Connect episode, find the author under Explore the connected record and choose Follow this author. If signed out, sign in and return to the episode first. The author joins your existing private My Audio follows across signed-in devices. Following this author shows the saved state; choose it and confirm a second time to unfollow. Escape cancels that confirmation. This does not join an email mailing list.
- Use Play Next and SavePlay Next prioritizes an episode. Save keeps it in your library. Removing either requires a second click.
- Continue from an episode to its bookUnder Explore the connected record, choose Explore this book. If an approved public excerpt is available, Read sample opens it in a new tab so the episode stays available. You do not need to sign in to open a public sample. If no sample is available, use the book profile instead; no file is generated automatically.
- Resume across devicesSigned-in progress, completion, bookmarks and notes synchronize. Anonymous browser state stays on that browser.
- Use transcripts and chaptersVerified transcripts appear inside Leone Connect. Open Podcast resources link to the external publisher and retain the Open label.
- Choose notificationsIn-app updates are standard. Enable a daily email separately per Open Podcast. Browser alerts work only while the web experience is available.
Browser downloads
Verified episodes may offer a governed browser download. An Open Podcast download comes directly from its publisher and depends on that publisher and browser.
Private notes
Notes and bookmarks are private account data. They are never shown to publishers, authors or other readers.
Community participation
Questions, comments and polls on Verified episodes are moderated. A submission is not public until approved.
VERIFIED PUBLISHER GUIDE
Manage a governed Audio program around your catalog.
- Confirm workspace authorityUse the Publisher Workspace connected to your verified organization. Review users, represented titles, editions, formats and territories.
- Choose a book and showStart from an approved catalog title. Connect the correct authors, edition publisher and territorial context.
- Submit the production briefPropose the episode and its complete editorial package: transcript, chapters, sources, participants, rights holder, permission reference and date, authorized countries and formats, intended access model and moderated community choice.
- Review the public packageCheck customer-facing copy, citations, transcript accuracy, book routes, commerce, correction contact and accessibility before approval.
- Configure commercial termsUse an agreed offer and a complete 100 percent allocation plan. Beneficiary routing must be verified before payout batching.
- Use reports responsiblyAudience and Conversion reports are aggregated and tenant-scoped. They do not expose individual listeners, searches, notes, orders or another publisher’s data.
LEONE CONNECT STAFF GUIDE
Operate the control plane without confusing metadata with authority.
Verified Catalog
Start at Podcasts → Verified Catalog. It joins the complete capability map, live catalog counts and episode-by-episode relationship, package, rights, approval, commerce and release gates without changing a record.
Open Podcast Catalog
Use Podcasts → Open Podcast Catalog to import, refresh, inspect errors, block or reactivate feeds. Blocking is reversible and does not delete listener records.
Creator Studio
Convert approved partner briefs into governed Draft records. Complete show, book, author, publisher, transcript, source and rights relationships before publication review.
Proof responses
Review author approvals and correction packages under Podcasts → Proof responses. Record a private disposition without copying changes into the Draft or implying release approval.
Release approvals
Open Podcasts → Release approvals after the reviewed-proof sequence. Confirm the exact snapshot and all connected-author states before accepting a handoff for scheduling review. Acceptance never changes the episode date or status.
Scheduling review
Use Podcasts → Scheduling review only after every connected author has a current accepted handoff and release readiness is complete. Record a proposed local slot and channel plan; the desk cannot schedule or publish.
Publication control
Use Podcasts → Publication control for the consequential final action. Confirm the exact plan and channel effects, type SCHEDULE and use the second confirmation click. WordPress then publishes automatically at the future time unless an authorized editor cancels first.
Audio Operations
Monitor scheduled releases, failed media work, feed readiness, corrections, access grants and commercial configuration without creating orders or silently changing publication state.
Revenue and Payouts
Reconcile currency-separated confirmed revenue, exact allocation sources, beneficiaries, payout batches and immutable payout events. Never overwrite an original financial event.
Audience and Conversion
Use aggregate starts, completion, transcript, book-interest, offer and revenue signals. Do not infer or export individual listening profiles.
Release readiness
Treat green capability as implemented code—not proof of launch acceptance. Record real browser, accessibility, isolation, payment and flagship-content evidence separately.
- Open the episode Release PassportFrom Podcasts → Verified Catalog, search or filter the release candidates and open the passport for the exact episode. Print it for review only when a fixed evidence copy is useful.
- Prepare the episode in the Release WorkbenchFor a Draft, Pending or Private episode, open the workbench from its passport. Review the show, book, authors, publisher, rights scope, access intent and only the next allowed production stage. Confirm the save, then return to the passport for recalculated release truth.
- Review identity and authorityVerify the correct author and publisher accounts, catalog scope, rights holder, permission evidence, editions, formats and territories.
- Review the media packageVerify the private master, processing outputs, transcript completeness, chapters, sources, artwork, credits and accessibility.
- Use the Media Desk task tabsUsing the Media Desk task tabs: Recording, Transcript, Chapters & sources, Episode settings and Review & release each show one task. The original recording player remains above the tabs, with native seek, volume and play controls plus Back 15s, Forward 30s and playback speed. Switching tabs does not restart playback or save edits. On short screens the controls scroll naturally instead of occupying most of the screen. Chapters and sources remain editorially reviewed entries; generation is not included. Show all sections restores the full view. Arrow keys, Home and End move between tabs; invalid fields reveal their tab and containing details. Existing optional-processing confirmation and all release checks still apply.
- Import a completed transcript draftIn the Podcast Media Desk, choose Transcript > Import a completed transcript draft. Download the completed private transcript-draft.json for this recording from Audio Operations, then select it in the importer. Choose Accessible transcript only (default, preserving timed edits), Timed transcript only, or Both transcripts. Inspect the displayed draft and replacement description; confirm the recording identity before Use selected draft text. The complete text is the worker result, not a summary. Correct names and quotations, identify speakers and add meaningful sound descriptions before accessibility review. Timed words are grouped into segments with whole-second starts. Intervening edits to either transcript invalidate the candidate. This tool never uploads the JSON, saves the episode, approves anything, starts processing or replaces audio. Review against the recording and save normally when ready.
- Keep suitable original audioOpen Podcasts and choose Media Desk beside the episode readiness status. This opens the recording tools inside that episode editor, not a separate dashboard. Release checks includes guidance for the last saved production stage and a Review production workflow link, with a return link at the stage controls. Guidance is not approval and never advances a stage. Under Searchable timed transcript, Preview timed transcript displays the entered segments locally for search and review; it is not a publication proof. Load the original with its player before using timestamp jumps. Jumps do not start playback, and edited text requires a fresh preview. Use Jump to a section to move between Recording, Transcript, Episode details and Release checks. These are navigation links, not approval or completion badges. Back to sections returns to the same navigation. Listen under Your recording and leave Use original selected. Continue moves to Transcript & chapters without saving or publishing. Advanced details contains verification guidance. A suitable MP3 needs no WAV conversion or extra processing approval.
- Prepare an approved book sampleEdit the connected book record. Use its existing Public excerpt field for the HTTPS address of the approved public sample. Record Approved excerpt permission, the genuine approval date and private evidence reference; never assign consent retroactively. Check that the destination opens without private credentials. Both book and episode must meet the existing public-release rules before an episode can show Read sample. This does not upload, create or publish a sample, and the private evidence is never displayed to readers.
- Request only useful optional workChoose Improve audio to reveal volume adjustment or smaller MP3 copies. Volume adjustment creates a larger WAV candidate. Waveform and transcript tools are separate companion tasks under Transcript & chapters > Optional tools. Review the selected-task summary, confirm and save normally. Originals are preserved; existing queued jobs are not canceled. Noise/echo cleanup and sample comparison are not yet available.
- Listen to the prepared Drive copyIn Podcasts → Audio Operations, find the technically passed candidate marked Prepared in Drive and choose Review Drive copy. Play and seek through the uploaded copy, then listen in full. This staff-only player rechecks privacy and file identity; it does not replace the master, record a listening pass or publish. If access or the file changes, playback stops until staff investigate.
- Record a private scheduling reviewAfter accepting every connected author handoff, use Podcasts → Scheduling review. Confirm the current package, choose a future local slot and planned channels, and retain any superseded proposal. This is coordination evidence, not a WordPress schedule.
- Authorize the future releaseUse Podcasts → Publication control only when the exact scheduling plan remains current. Review automatic website, RSS and selected social effects, type SCHEDULE and confirm twice. Before publication, an authorized editor can return the episode to Draft with a recorded cancellation reason.
- Review distribution and accessConfirm free, membership or paid access; feed, embed and download choices; correction route; and scheduled release timing.
- Record acceptance evidenceTest keyboard, screen reader, desktop, mobile, cross-device state, feed import, payment lifecycle, tenant isolation and rollback before launch.
- Make one human publication decisionNo readiness panel, feed import, partner submission, processing callback or payment confirmation publishes content automatically.
PRIVACY, SECURITY AND RIGHTS
Controls readers and partners can understand.
Listening data
Signed-in listeners can download or selectively remove disposable listening state and subscriptions. Orders, receipts, entitlements and accountable financial evidence follow separate retention obligations.
External media
Open Podcast audio remains on the publisher’s enclosure URL. Do not upload, proxy, transcode or sell it without documented permission.
Account security
Use one person per controlled identity, strong passwords and MFA where available. Report lost access so Leone Connect can use the governed recovery process.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Recover without losing work.
The RSS feed will not import
Confirm it is a public HTTPS RSS or Atom address containing audio enclosures. Ordinary website pages, credentialed feeds, private-network addresses, unsafe redirects and feeds over two megabytes are rejected.
Playback does not resume on another device
Confirm both devices use the same signed-in Leone Connect account and that the episode page remained open long enough to synchronize. Anonymous state never leaves its browser.
A podcast has stopped updating
Staff should inspect Open Podcast Catalog health, manually refresh once, then review the error and publisher feed. Do not repeatedly retry a blocked or unsafe host.
A transcript or chapter link is unavailable
Open Podcast resources are controlled by the external publisher. Verified Leone Connect transcripts should be reported through the episode correction route.
A paid episode is still locked
Sign in with the purchasing account, open My Audio Access and check the entitlement and expiry. Keep the order or governed mobile-money reference when contacting Leone Connect.
A private proposal did not publish
That is expected. Partner proposals require Leone Connect review and conversion into a governed Draft before any separate publication decision.
